Seido knives do stand behind their knifes. My wife had one problem and this company took care of it ASAP. My wife loves these knives. I put up a magnetic strip to hold the knives. One at each workstation in her kitchen.
I have bought many Seido knives in the past, always one-offs to supplement my other knives. With the deal over the holidays on the eight pc. set, it was too good to pass up. As with other Seido knives, the quality is as good or better than knives that are much more expensive. Some knives have a blade that is thin and very sharp but is susceptible to minor nics in the blade that are hard to repair. Others have thicker blades that don't hold an edge for long, so you're constantly sharpening. With Seido knives, the sharpness seems to last forever. Best blades for the price I've seen.

I am extremely happy with the Hanikamu VG10 Damascus Chef Knife Set. While I have not used them all yet, they are lighter weight, anyone can handle them for long periods without strain. They are sharp! They look good with the magnetic block we got from Amazon.
